The Five

A mate came to me and laid out a challenge...’ So you reckon that you can make anything you put your mind too?’ Yes I replied, very sharply... Famous last words. We sat down over a coffee and drew up what would become now know as ‘THE FIVE’. A totally asymmetric guitar, in as many ways as humanly possible. Body shape, peg head, sound holes, multiple timber Fretboard and bridge. Add in some really nice touches like the five blades in the sound box, a carved peg head, rare timbers like ‘White Bait’ Huon Pine and Tiger Myrtle’. Followed up with full handcrafted one off machine heads specially designed for ‘THE FIVE’ and you have one, never been seen before, never to be repeated guitar with over 400 hours of labour in it... let alone the 50 odd hours of design time and consideration.
