Eureka
My timber guy in Tasmania sent me a section of King Billy Pine as a teaser. I got to it about two months later and found one of the sexiest sections of King Billy Pine I have ever seen. It had to go into something special.
Steeped in Australian history, born out of the Eureka Stockade, The Eureka Flag represents the miner’s rebellion in Ballart, 1854. Miners standing up to a corrupt and petty police force.
I like the idea of the flag in the back of this guitar. Guitarists seem to have a love hate relationship with twelve string guitars, they hate the stringing and tuning of them, but love the depth and sound. A struggle that goes on.
I choose the Eureka Flag for the back of a twelve with this in mind. A struggle that is built up, but short lived, and an outcome that yields improvement.
